Private School Loans Becoming More available in 2010
Private School Loans are Becoming More available in 2010,
In 2008 and 2009 the private student loan business dried up with the economy. Students were still able to find a private school loan, but approval requirements became much stricter. Many school loan companies went out of business and at the end of 2010 there will be a select few student loan lenders standing. The government is taking over the direct federal education lending programs … and they’re going to profit just the same off of your school loans. When applying for federal aid, the first step is to complete the fafsa. This dome be done fore free and the DOE’s website fafsa.ed.gov - we can’t link to them without permission and we are still awaiting permission. If you are the type of person that wants help filing the FAFSA, try fafsa.com - This website seems to be growing in popularity.
Best of luck this semester. We will post updates on important dates upcoming. Remember, your individual state deadeline for the FAFSA is different then the national due date.
